I have an ear full of spiders, and I think I'm going to die.

A couple of days ago, I started hearing little popping sounds in my ear. I didn't think anything of it... at first. Then it started to get achy. Then it started popping a lot.

Today it hurts more, it pops more, and the left side of my head has definitely gained weight.

I "officially" have a case of spiders.

What do you mean, I'm paranoid? You're not paranoid enough, is what YOU mean. Haven't you heard of Albany, Oregon's, Jesse Courtney?

From the Chicago Sun: "What began as a faint popping in a 9-year-old boy's ear -- 'like Rice Krispies' -- ended up as an earache, and the doctor's diagnosis was that a pair of spiders made a home in the ear.

'They were walking on my eardrums,' Jesse Courtney said."

Still don't believe me? Meet Jesse:

Who's paranoid now?! Good luck thinking of anything else next time YOUR ear starts popping.

**********************************************************

UPDATE: All right, you nervous nellies! I guess I overdid it on the paranoia level. I don't REALLY have spiders in my ear. I just couldn't get that kid's story out of my head with my eardrum popping from the congestion in my noggin. (Thank you for your concern. You can stop emailing me now. I love you, too.)

**********************************************************

UPDATE 2: FYI, you who are squeamish, the video is a TV news interview of Jessie. He's playing video games and answering the reporter's questions. He does have the spiders in a little specimen jar, but they're dead.

Have I ever told you I am somewhat aracnaphobic? (not sure if that is an actual word...) Thanks a lot for sharing! ;) I'm sure I'll sleep like a baby tonight not even worried that a spider family will find a new home...

That would totally freak me out. I am a controlled arachnophob and eeekkk, I would be going to the doctor immediately. Maybe it's just a little water stuck in your ear or your sinus's are clogged. Lets hope for the best here. :)

spiders tiptoe Seriously, they tiptoe. So I guess it was spiders tiptoeing on the eardrum.
Also, people are never more than
3' away from a spider at all times.

Shanda - I am a LOT arachnophobic. Aren't we all?

Losing Myself - 3 inches?!?!?! Ugh. Like I needed to hear that. Didn't you know that I am arachnophobic?

Everyone - I'm sorry. I guess I shouldn't blog while medicated. :)

i'm always afraid spiders, ants, and any other bugs are going to get in my ears, crawl in my mouth, or up my nose. i hate insects, bugs, reptiles, arachnids. you name it lol

i think i'll refrain from watching the video though my finger is kinda itchy to click it...just as i do with links. i've seen some gross stuff because i get too curious lol

That totally grossed me out! I would of been more freaked if it were birds. I'm terrified of birds and bats. Really anything that flies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I soooooo couldn't watch the video. I have thought about bugs in my ear before and it freaks me out. eeekkkk....

oh thanks for stopping by my blog today, and leave a couple nice comments. :)

as for the scrapping, i guess I didn't understand your comment. The pages I shared are ALL digital. The photos are digital, and everything else on it. I did it all on my computer. It is so fun. Hard to get started if you don't have some basic experience with software like photoshop, but it is so great once you figure it out. :)

Have a great day!
