I forgot my mom's birthday. AGAIN! I think every year I come up with a new way to fail her in this regard.
This year, I added the category "did not even notice the Facebook reminder" to my fantastic ability to fail.
MOM! I AM SORRY! I ANNOUNCE IT HERE AND NOW IN FRONT OF YOU, FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!
I LOVE YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Now go visit her and wish her a belated birthday.

I hope she reads your blog, cause if she doesn't she won't hear me say. . . Happy Belated Birthday, Mikki's Mom!
And please don't be too hard on her. . . we'll remind her next year. . .
*retroactively disawarding all your gold stars for good-kidness*
I am the WORST at birthdays - especially long distance ones...if you want any cool (even musical) belated birthday cards I have a stash on hand! :)
Dearest Mikki, if it bothered me that you forget my birthday, I might discretely let you know about it. But I'll say here, in front of God and everybody, it doesn't matter if you forget my birthday. I think I even forgot yours a time or two since you moved half a continent away. So I hereby grant you absolution in perpetuity.
Love, Mom
Yes, happy birthday Clara! The check er ah card is in the mail.
